Curriculum Vitae

After completing high school, Jens Krüger did an apprenticeship at a middle-sized freight forwarder. Following the apprenticeship, he took over responsibility for the planning of company-owned and subcontracted trucks; after that, he changed jobs to work on the shipper side and was responsible for planning and purchasing global transportation services (sea, air, land).

Parallel to his work, he studied at the VWA institute and graduated as "Verkehrsfachwirt" (comparable with a bachelor's degree in transportation management) and completed additional studies in Logistics and in Project Management.

Being prepared for new challenges, he took over a management role and was responsible for outsourcing the logistics-services of an FMCG-company and sat up a transportation network within a forwarding network. To increase exposure to warehouse logistics, he took over the role of a branch manager with a logistics service provider and managed the design and implementation of a new warehouse for 10’000 pallets and more than 3000 SKUs.

After successful implementation, he decided to launch his consulting firm "KLD - Krüger Logistik Diagnose"; quickly, he managed to acquire logistics service providers and manufacturing companies as customers and helped these companies primarily with warehousing projects as well with distribution network studies, purchasing- and IT-integration-projects.

After years with a strong focus on warehouse-management, Jens Krüger decided to go back into transport management and became a member of the Kühne + Nagel Road Logistics Organization. He was responsible for the structural development of the business field as VP Network Development Road Logistics.

At that time, he graduated with a Master's degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University.

After that, Jens Krüger was appointed Director for the Road Logistics Operations with Militzer & Münch International Holding and received responsibility for the German road logistics entity as interim managing director.

Following that, he headed the central management of the international groupage product and operations with DHL Freight. The next position was as Head of Dispatch with SRTechnics, where he managed the packing and global shipping of aircraft components and spare parts, plus the 24/7 AOG-logistics support.  

The subsequent career step was with Estée Lauder in Switzerland as Executive Manager Logistics Travel Retail worldwide. His responsibility covered the global logistics chain for the TR division, including Value Added Services, at three Distribution Centers in Switzerland plus various regional Distribution in the global regions. In addition, he managed the Intra-logistics support for the production plant in Switzerland.  

The following assignment was with the Migros Cooperation Zürich in Switzerland as Supply Chain Manager. His responsibility was to transform the Supply Chain and built up an integarted organization across the business segments procurement, logistics, systems and distribution. Further duties included the optimisation of the material flow from source to shelf (end-to-end), the advancement of efficiency/effectiveness of the forecasting and replenishment process, and the continuous improvement of the supply chain processes.

The most recent career step is with Canada Goose as EMEA regional Supply Chain lead. His responsibility is to lead the Supply Chain organisation which involves the management of the 3PL operated Distribution Centers, Inventory & Supply Managament as well as Trade Compliance and Indirect Procurement.
